Band (College/Community)
The college / pep band program includes at least one formal concert each semester on campus as well as pep band appearances at HCC athletics games. In 2001 and 2002, members of the band program participated in the National Wind Ensemble Concert held in Carnegie Hall under the baton of H. Robert Reynolds (by audition only).The band members also participate in the Minnesota Fine Arts Festival held each spring.
Choir
The College choral group performs at least one concert each semester on campus as well as special performances, such as the Tribute to the Victims of September 11. The choir participated in festival concerts at Carnegie Hall in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and expects to participate in 2003 and 2004 as well. The choir has sung an oratorio or mass with the Duluth-Superior Orchestra for the last five seasons, including the Messiah.
at special events on campus, as well as at a concert each term. A grand-scale community-wide performance (such as Handel's Messiah) is planned with the community for each spring. Selected members of the choir and band participate in the Spring Fine Arts Festival. The HCC Choir has twice traveled to perform at Carnegie Hall.
