HCC closes out Season 1-1
The HCC Club Soccer Team ended their season with a road trip to Riverland CC and Crossroads College on Oct. 9 & 10. The Cardinals defeated Riverland 4-0 for their first on the field win of the seasn. The officials let the players play and Hibbing out muscled Riverland. The Cardinals put 29 shots on goal in the game (14 in the first half and 15 in the 2nd half). Joel Kristenson scored the first goald at 5:48. Gavin Robinson scored the next two goals for the Cards to round out the first half. EK scored the only goal in the 2nd half at 13:47. Tyler Greski had 18 saves in goal.
On Saturday, Oct. 10 the Cardinals lost 0-2 to Crossroads College in Rochester, MN. The flu bug struck the Cards on the road ttrip and limited their effectiveness in running the field. The Cards only put 8 shots on goal for the game. Crossroads had 13 shots on goal with their only 2 goals in the first half. The Cardinals played good defense liminting the chances that Crossroads had to score but offensively could not find the open net. Tyler Greski had 25 saves in goal.
This closes the season for the Cardinals going 2-7-1.

HCC loses to Century College
The HCC CLub Soccer Team lost 0-5 to Century College on Sunday, Oct. 4 in Hibbing. Century scored 3 goals in the first hlaf and 2 in the 2nd half. Tyler Greski was in goal for the Cardinals and he stopped 15 shots. Hibbing put 15 shots on goal but came up empty.
The Cardinals will play their last home game of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 7 when they host Anoka-Ramsey CC at 4 pm at Vic Powere fields. Their will complete their season Oct. 9-10 when they travel to Riverland CC on Oct. 9 for a 4 pm game and then Oct. 10 at Crossroads College for an 11 am start.

HCC Ties with Crossroads
The HCC Club Soccer Team tied with Crossroads College 2-2 on Friday, Oct. 2 in Hibbing. Playing in strong wind and ocassional rain, the Cards gave up 2 goals in the first half with the wind in their face. In the second half Hibbing had the wind and scored two goals. Tyler Greski had 11 saves in goal. Luois Freemont scored Hibbing's first goal at 84:00 and Taylor Skalsky scored the second goal for Hibbing at 86:00. Hibbing put 20 shots on goal.
The Cardinals will host Anoka-Ramsey CC on Wednesday at 4 pm at Vic Power Field in Hibbing.

HCC loses to Crossroads
The HCC Club Soccer Team lost 2-3 to Crossroads College from Rochester, MN. Playing at home the Cards were nervous at the start and gave up 2 quick goals. Defensive play got tighter and the Cards scored on a goal by Gavin Robinson before the first half ended to make the score 1-3. In the second half, the Cards held Crossroad scoreless and got a goal by Brain Erickson at 66:00 minutes. The Cards had several other chances to score but couldn't find the net.
The Cardinals will host Crossroads again next Firday, Oct. 2 at 4 pm at Vic Power Park.

HCC loses to Anoka-Ramsey CC
The HCC Club Soccer Team traveled to Coon Rpaids, MN on Sunday, Sept. 20 to play Anoka-Ramsey CC. The Cardinals werw down 0-2 at the half and lost 0-6.
Tyler Greski was in goal for the Cards and stopped 32 shots. The Cardinals defense played a great first half limiting Anoka's ability to move the ball and score. Hibbing put 5 shots on goal.
The Cardinals will host Crossroad College on Friday, Sept. 25 at 4 pm at Vic Power fields.

HCC loses to Ridgewater and Century
The HCC Soccer Team was on the road Sept. 12-13 traveling to Willmar and then White Bear Lake for a pair of games. On SEpt. 12 the Cardinals lost to Ridgewater College 9-1. Donnie Allan had 21 saves in the first half and Tyler Greski had 3 saves in the second half for the Cards. Ridgewater scored 5 goals in the first half and 4 in the second. Hibbing's lone goal was scored by Joel Kristenson at the 89:20 mark in the second half.
On Sept. 13 the Cardinals played Century College and lost 0-11. Century scored 6 goals in the first half and 5 in the second. Donnie Allan had 19 saves and Will Ball had 3 for the Cardinals. Hibbing managed 10 shots on goal but had trouble breaking theough Century's defense.
The Cards are 0-3 on the season and will travel to Coon Rapids, Mn on SUnday, Sept. 20 to play Anoka-Ramsey CC.

HCC loses seasons opener
The HCC Soccer Club opened their season with a 1-9 loss to Ridgewater College on Sept. 5 at 2 pm at Vic Power Park. The Cardinals scored first in the contest on a Taylor Shalsky goal 4 minutes into the game. Ridgewater stormed back scoring 5 goals in the first half and 4 in the seonc half. Donnie Allen was in goal for the Cards and had 13 saves in the first half and 8 saves in the second half. The Cardinals played well offensively and managed 10 shots on goal.
The Cardinals will be on the road Sept. 12 & 13 with games at Ridgewater College, Willmar, MN and then at Centruy College, White Bear Lake, MN.
