UPCOMING HOME CONTESTS:
Andy Knudson was named the MCAC Northern Division player of the week. Andy batted .571 for the Cardinals during a four game stretch last week. He also scored 4 runs, had 4 stolen bases and 2 RBI's. Andy is a freshman from Warroad, MN.
Ashley Mossuto was named the MCAC North Division player of the week. Ashley increased her season batting average to .581 by going 12-16 in seven games last week. Mossuto also had 4 stolen bases, 2 doubles, scored 6 runs and had 15 RBI's for the week. She is a freshman from Grand View, WI
Ashley Mossuto was named to the MCAC North Division All-Conference team for softball. Ashley played multiple positions for the Cardinals this spring and was near the top of the conference in batting average, stolen bases and home runs. She is a freshman from Grand View, WI.
Melissa Weisbrick and Brandon Emery II were named to the All-MCAC teams in basketball. Melissa is a sophomore from Hibbing, MN and Brandon is a freshman from Silver Spring, MD. Congratulations to both of you on your exceptional seasons.
Brandon Emery II was named thde MCAC North Division Player of the Week in Men's basketball this past week. Brandon averaged 31.5 ppg in two games last week. Brandon made 23-39 FGA (59%) and was 10-15 3FGA (67%) while also averaging 5.5 rpg and 5 apg. He is a freshman from Silver Spring, MD.
Treyvon Chatman was named the MCAC North Division Player of the Week in men's basketball this past week. Treyvon averaged 25.3 ppg, 6 rpg, 2.6 apg and 2.3 spg for the Cardinals during a 3 game sweep last week. Chatman made 25-50 FGA (50%), 7-20 3FGA (35%) and 17-25 FTA (68%). He is a freshman from Parrish, AL.
Elliot Johnson was named the MCAC North Division Player of the Week in men's basketball this past week. Elliot averaged 17.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg and 3 apg for the Cardinals during a split of game this past week. Johnson made 9-16 FGA and scored 23 points during a 81-77 win vs. ICC. He is a freshman from Little Rock, AR.

Jordan Jesperson a 5'9" setter from Hibbing HS
Holly Starkovich a 5'11" MH from Chisholm HS
The Cardinals look forward to these young ladies joining the program next fall and continue to push forward with their recruiting efforts for the 2016 season.
Coach Turnbull names Tri-Captains for the 2016 Volleyball Season.
Samantha Wardas from Orr, Michele Paulsen from Hibbing and Ashley Mossuto from Drummond, WI were chosen to lead the Cardinal Volleyball team next fall. "These three young ladies had excellent freshmen seasons and are doing very well in the classroom. We are proud to have them return next year to lead our squad." Coach Mike Turnbull
Congratulations to Samantha Wardas on being named to the All-MCAC North Division Team in Volleyball. Sam is a freshman middle hitter from Northwoods High School. Great Job Sam!
A special congratulations goes out to HCC golfers Hannah Godbout and Ben Abrahmson for qualifying for the NJCAA women's and men's National Tournaments. Hannah is a sophomore from Newtown, CT and Ben is a freshman from Hibbing, MN. Good luck at Nationals in the spring!
Samantha Wardas, a 5'11" freshman from Orr, MN was named MCAC Northern Division Hitter of the Week for a second week in a row. Sam had another good week for the Cardinals as she accumulated 87 kills with an attack percentage of .353. She also had 26 blocks on the week.
Samantha Wardas and C.J. Jesperson for being named MCAC Northern Division Volleyball Athletes of the Week. Samantha was named Hitter of the week. Wardas is a freshman from Orr, MN who led HCC with 23 kills in a 3-1 victory over conference rival Vermilion last week. She had an attack % of .512 and only committed 2 errors in 41 attacks. She also added 3 blocks and 3 digs.
C.J. was named Setter of the Week for her performance in the same match vs Vermilion last week. Jesperson recorded 47 assists, 6 digs and 3 service aces in the contest. She is a sophomore from Hibbing, MN.
